Who is mohamed rouane?
Mohamed Rouane's music is a mix of ancient and traditional music, subtly mixed with jazz, and it transports you into a warm, romantic and sensual universe that gives the impression of listening to a concert on a terrace Casbah. His style, filled with warm colors, resonates with the chords of his mandola and is called Casbah-jazz.

Born on October 21, 1968 in Belouzdad, Algeria, and originating from the region of Djelfa, Mohamed Rouane gradually abandoned football to take an interest in music. Self-taught, passionate and artist in the soul, his first instrument, the harmonica, makes him discover the beauty of the sounds and melodies that furnish his life today. Hadj Mohamed El Anka, singer and mandolin composer, and the chaâbi rock his learning of music and amplify his vocation. In 1992, he launched the group Triana d'Alger, an experiment that quickly fades to give birth to the Meditranéo group, flamenco-gypsy style. Thus, guitarist, he met a great success in Tunisia and produced two albums.

After these successes, Mohamed Rouane began a solo career to make new musical experiences. His first album "Rêve" was spotted in 2005 at the Académie Frédéric Chopin, which received him at two exceptional concerts in Warsaw, Poland. A year later, he released a second album in tribute to two great names of music: to the militant of the Berber cause Matoub Lounes, and the master of the chaâbi Hadj Mohamed El Anka. In 2007, he participated in the gigantic concert organized for the event "Algiers Capital of Arab Culture". A great moment of happiness since it accompanies the best players of lute and mandolin of the Arab world. It realizes realizes a melodic fresco of about twenty melodies symbols of the abysses of deep Algeria.

The celebrated artist Khaled has not praised him. An exceptional artistic guarantee that allowed him to concretize one of his dreams as a teenager: to perform with him at La Coupole. Moreover, admiration is reciprocal, and Mohamed Rouane does not hesitate to call the raïman de mebet, the equivalent of a saint or a sage in the Maghreb.

Thanks to Mohamed Rouane, the Casbah-jazz style brings a new lyrical palette to Algerian music and music in general. And all this is only with the mandolin, one of the oldest instruments in the Arab world.
