Surfshark CleanWeb 2.0

One major thing to note immediately - the recent Surfshark update has improved Cleanweb to its 2.0 version, and it now works even better. The first change is that CleanWeb no longer blocks JUST malicious ads or trackers - it blocks all of them. Meaning that you get actually ad-free, or clean, hehe, browsing. The other improvement is that now Cleanweb works even without connecting to any VPS server, so in other terms, once activated, it works non-stop. Like a good ad blocker should do… however, all these improvements are only available in the Surfhark extension. The app still operates with the earlier CleanWeb version.

So, is Surfshark good? Well, let's see how Surfshark CleanWeb works "in the field". To test this, I went to SpeedTest.NET since it always has at least 4 really visible ads. So this is how the page looks normally, now let's activate CleanWeb with the SurfShark extension, and… great, Surfshark managed to remove every ad on the screen. Okay, let's do one more, I'll go to weather.com without an ad blocker… and then with CleanWeb activated… the results are the same, no more ads…

Is Surfshark worth it?

The last question in my Surfshark adblocker review - is an ad-blocker and a VPN bundle worth getting? Hmm, it depends… Surfhark has great value and is a trusted provider, so if you care about your privacy and security, this would be a wise investment. And if we're talking honestly, using free tools, you always pay something, usually, you don't even know what - sells your data, spies on you - so why not pay something you know - a few bucks a month.
