Hard to believe this path is actually stairs up to the highest point in my town, Burnetts Mound. The story behind this mound was that when settlers came to this area, the native Americans said, this mound was sacred and would warn off tornados and other severe weather. In 1966, Topeka was hit by a tornado and it came right over Burnetts Mound destroying most of Washburn University and 800+ homes. Fun facts
