The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has posted the Minutes of Forest Appraisal Committee Meeting dated 7th June 2024.
Today, on 11th June 2024, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has published the AMENDMENT IN FINAL NOTIFICATION OF ESZ AROUND DYANGANGA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY MAHARASHTRA. The Notification bears S.O. 2227(E) dated 10th June 2024. It amends paragraph 5 and 6 of S.O. 1604 (E), dated the 17th May 2017. The paragraphs deal with the Monitoring Committee constitution and functions.
In the Daily AQI Bulletin published by CPCB, Delhi quoted Poor AQI on Jun 11, 2024 due to predominance of PM2.5, PM10. Worst AQI of the day was 355 reported from Dhanbad due to NO2 followed by 341 in Bahadurgarh due to PM2.5. The report shared data from 238 cities and 43 Cities were absent in the AQI Bulletin due to insufficient data.
In a keynote speech delivered at the opening of the worldsteel annual Open Forum in Brussels on 11 June, Deputy Director-General Jean-Marie Paugam underlined the importance of the WTO and the multilateral trading system in achieving global climate change objectives. A “fragmented system of uncoordinated environment-related trade policies will only hinder decarbonization efforts, contrary to our shared goals,” he declared.
