Cruel Bomb is about to blow up.

Its members carry all the prerequisites for success—scholarly understanding of The Big 4, fluency in metal's many sub-genres and dedication to creating something new while honoring what came before. Those attributes lay a solid foundation upon which a heavy, heavy thrash machine continues to grow.

Since forming Cruel Bomb in 2018, Kennie Barto (bass/vocals), Brandon James (guitar/vocals) and Kyle McKeown (drums) have fed that machine with a consistent live show schedule and a trio of EPs. Their latest effort, Man Made, adds five new songs to the band’s already diverse catalog of compositions.

Cruel Bomb’s members strive to lend each track its own identity while simultaneously holding true to the band’s thrashy core. On Man Made, those inspirations cover a wide range of topics, including partying, warfare, gym jams and ignoring the can’t-do attitudes of Internet never-tries. All of it comes together to form a portrait of three brothers bonded through music, ready to conquer the world with their authentic brand of brutality.

So far, the thrash machine has staked claim to its Pennsylvania home and made incursions into Ohio, Maryland and New York. Cruel Bomb plan to continue the campaign through 2022, adding new members to the Bombed Squad with each energetic performance.

As the machine grows ever larger, the real question isn’t if Cruel Bomb blows up—it’s if you’re coming along for the ride.
