Can a SILENT SENTRY spawn-camp guards in stealth? | PAYDAY2 Mythbusting

Sentries have always been a LOUD deployable: the unsilenced ones for shooting and aggroing enemies, and the silenced ones to focus on shooting, without drawing much attention from the enemies. However, visually the silent sentries have a silencer equipped: does that mean they could potentially be used in actual stealth?

Some heisters have suggested in the past that, despite their silenced appearance, sentry gunfire is loud regardless, making them useless for stealth. However, is this actually accurate? Or could some other effect have caused this misconception? And even if they were fully silent, could they actually be used for anything?
