Cranial Jam by Vital Information from my Hudson Music video: "Drumset Technique/History Of The U.S. Beat." The incarnation of Vital Info with Tom Coster on keys, Frank Gambale on guitar and Baron Browne on bass was prolific and adventurous. We toured often and recorded a number of inspired albums. This performance of “Cranial Jam” is based on group ideas developed in rehearsal and incorporated some “Implied Metric Modulations” of 6 over 4, plus a double-time section, then we metrically modulate back down to half-time.
