Statistics is the science concerned with developing and studying methods for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and presenting empirical data.

Statistics attempts to infer the properties of a large Collection of Data from inspection of a sample of the Collection thereby allowing educated guesses to be made with a minimum of expense. There are generally 3 kinds of averages commonly used in Statistics. They are: (i) Mean, (ii) Median, and (iii) Mode.

Sir Ronald Aylmer Fisher (1890-1962), renowned as "his time's greatest scientist," was a British statistician and biologist who made significant contributions to experimental design and population genetics. He is widely regarded as the "Father of Modern Statistics and Experimental Design."
