Learn about the remarkable poet of urdu litrature ‘Jaun Eliya’ in this video by Lekhak Suyash. Jaun Eliya is known for his unique style of poetry recitation. ‘Jaun’ has really a special place in our hearts. Although we're all familiar with Jaun Eliya as one of the most iconic poets, but still we don't know many aspects of Jaun Elia's life. So I decided to write this series ‘ I'm Jaun Eliya ’. My motive behind writing this series is only that, being a fan of Jaun Elia, I want to convey every untold aspect of Jaun's life to all of you fans.
In this episode, ‘ Behind a Poet ’ , we talk about early days of Jaun's life when ‘Jaun’ was known not for his poetry, but for his acting skills. In his hometown Amroha, a Drama Club named 'Bazm-e-Haq-Numa' was formed to perform plays about Islamic history. Twelve-year-old Jaun enjoyed watching these plays with his friends. Inspired by his elders, he too formed a drama club with one of his friends. He decidedly played the lead and delivered powerful dialogues from the stage. Jaun admitted that his leftist Nazms, as well as the conversational tone of his ghazals, reflect the drama-days he spent as a youngster.
