STORYLINE:
A giant red heart-shaped balloon was floating in the Hong Kong sky on Saturday as part of a series of art and culture events due to take place across the city.

The event called "Chubby Hearts Hong Kong" was curated and presented by the Hong Kong Design Centre.

More heart balloons are due to be popping up across the city.

The large balloon attracted locals and tourists who posed for photographs with the art installation in the background.

The Hong Kong government paid $1 million for the project, local media reported.

Other events scheduled include a Dior men's fashion show, the "ComplexCon" pop culture convention and a celebration of the late Hong Kong literary icon Jin Yong.
