Mom makes us a great variation on the classic apple crisp. In this applescotch crisp recipe she shares two secret ingredients that help turn an ordinary apple crisp recipe into something special. Give this recipe a try, we think you will like it

In a mixing bowl combine the following:

4 cups sliced and pealed apples
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp apple jelly
1 tbsp flour
1/2 cup brown sugar

mix well and place in a 9x9 or 8x11 baking dish. In another mixing bowl com bine the following:
2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 pkg cook and serve butterscotch pudding
1/4 cup melted butter
mix well and then evenly spread over apples. Mixture will be dry.

bake in a 350 oven for 45-50 minutes. Enjoy!
