Which size screen spline should I use when replacing fly screen mesh. In this video I have 2 attempts at renewing the fly screen - but only one of the Spline sizes will do the job right.

How wide is the groove for screen spline? this particular one was 5.5 mm

How do I know what size screen spline to use? measure the channel size, and use a spline that diameter, or next available size larger if using a fibreglass mesh.

If you use a thicker stronger type of mesh like Pet mesh or Ember protection screen, use 'channel size' spline or select a gauge smaller spline.

What are the different sizes of screen spline? I had the choice between 4 mm, 4.5 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm. to see these products online, there's some links below.
