How to propagation cactus pups (Offsets) STEP By STEP
STEP 1 Choose some suitable offsets to remove. They should be healthy and undamaged. Remove the offsets from the main parent plant.To remove the pup/offset from the parent plant, you will need to either disconnect it with a hand, or use a knife.The offset should at least 1.5-2 inches long.
STEP 2 Leave the offsets to dry for 2-3 of Hours before planting it. The best way to dry the pup is to place it vertically in an empty container with drainage holes.Some cacti offsets will naturally have roots when you separate them from a parent plant
STEP 3 It is time to pot them up.Prepare the container and the soil for your new cactus. Don’t forget to use correct containers and drainage before adding soil.Place the offsets into a pot of cacti soil.
STEP 4 Place the pup in indirect, but bright, sunlight.Try to keep your cutting away from direct sunlight for a while, if kept in the sun your plant will need more water and may sunburn.
STEP 5 Keep the medium lightly moist every 3-4 days.
STEP 6 Most cacti root in four to six weeks but some can take months.
