The Asian Institute of International Financial Law (AIIFL) and the UNIDROIT Asian Transnational Law Centre (ATLC) are pleased to announce the inaugural AIIFL – ATLC Seminar on Transnational Commercial Law. Part of the ATLC Seminar Series, this event brings together the world’s leading international commercial law experts to discuss international instruments—especially those elaborated by UNIDROIT to enable secured transactions, digital assets, and international commercial contracts.

Held at the margin of the 8th Conference on International Coordination of Secured Transactions Reform (27-28 November, HKU Law), this inaugural seminar adopts a broad perspective in surveying UNIDROIT’s contributions to transnational commercial law and examining how they have shaped—and may continue to shape—legal reforms and economic development in Asia. Through interactive dialogue rather than formal presentations, panellists will explore the intersection of international instruments with domestic legal systems and emerging technology-enabled market practices.
