"The sold out CD and DoLP Gotos=Kalanda by the post-industrial Austrian music project Allerseelen were named after a cycle of twelve poems dedicated to the twelve months, written in 1937 by the Austrian runes´ initiate Karl Maria Wiligut. As titles for the poems, he chose the old German names of the months. Wiligut was a pagan monotheist and used the special writing Got - the usual German word would have been Gott.

After the early cassettes and the first CD Cruor with their occult and spiritual themes, inspired by alchemy, magic, mysticism, shamanism, the CD Gotos=Kalanda (1995) became the first controversial release by Allerseelen. Although the Gotos=Kalanda poems with their timeless spiritual quality are far away from politics, a political dimension was added by using on the cover and the disc itself the photograph of a black sunwheel with twelve rays from the German castle Wewelsburg.

When the DoLP Gotos=Kalanda appeared ten years later, Allerseelen were careful to avoid any political dimension by using for the cover a portrait of an enigmatic and adventurous man with a hat and a black beard. As enigmatic and adventurous was the life of Karl Maria Wiligut - Gerhard Hallstatt wrote about him in his sold out magazine Aorta. This text is still available today in English and French in the book Gerhard Hallstatt: Blutleuchte.

These digital songs are the mastered versions on the DoLP release. They are identical to the original songs of the CD that had not been mastered at all.

Gotos=Kalanda is re-published on bandcamp as a historical document. There was and is no political intention in the recording and release of these songs.

In the last two years, Allerseelen recorded with the singer and visionary Anna Anfang new versions of several Gotos=Kalanda songs. You may find these on this bandcamp page. When all twelve songs have been finished, we will think of a proper way to publish them."
