The Korean food tour in Los Angeles was full of diverse and exciting Korean food tasting, such as hot and cold noodles, seafood pancakes, ox tail, Korean street food, and of course the famous Chinese Peking Duck, which my good friend Jeffery and I got a cool report on all of it.
The Korean food tour in Los Angeles was an idea that I think was very exciting, so we decided to try different Korean dishes with Jeffrey, and for the first time, we want to try seafood pancakes with crab, which is a very traditional Korean food. Here we had fried octopus, squid, hot and cold thick noodles, and pork neck meat. The pork meat, noodles, potatoes and brella leaves are slowly cooked for hours.
Seafood pancake, known as Haemul Pajeon in Korean is made from pancake batter, along with spring onions and seafood items such as crab, which is one of the most famous Korean dishes. Potatoes, ox tail meat, peppers, onions and a thick sauce are also served on small oven. It is cooked separately. They have a spicy noodle, which is not considered hot, which means it does not have soup, and it is a spicy noodle salad that has bean sprouts, lettuce, cucumber, noodles, and eggs. While we were eating, some small dishes that were actually considered to be side dishes and are called Ban Chan.
One of their special dishes was Yangji Gamjalang, which is the name of the restaurant itself, and they leave it on a small stove on the table while it is boiling. It has pork neck meat and vegetables, and it was very delicious. Seafood pancake, which is a pancake with onion and crab meat, can be eaten with rice, and put in a special sauce, both of which were unique. Finally, we also tried the ox tail, which had soft meat and a lot of cheese, and it was excellent. The next Korean restaurant was called Two hands, which has Korean street food and they have a lot of rice dogs and several types of sausages that can be ordered with different toppings.
For example, they have a type of sausage that has cheese in it, or classic American sausage, potato dog, spicy dog, and several other kinds. They have one where cheese is wrapped around sausage and crumbled bread is added and fried in deep and hot oil. They have five different types of rice dogs with different flavors, toppings, and sauces.
Our last destination in this food tour was Orange County and Changan Chinese Restaurant, which has a famous Chinese Peking Duck in the city of Tustin near Orange County. Together with Jeffrey, after an hour and a half drive from Los Angeles, we arrived at Changan Chinese Restaurant, which has an amazing atmosphere. It was wonderful and the restaurant was very beautiful. They have different Chinese dishes, the most famous of which is Peking Duck, and here you can have 9 types of food with duck, such as duck skin, crispy duck breast which is fatty, roast duck which they smoke in front of you, and also duck soup and duck bones, jelly fish.
The important point in this report was the last minute presence of Ms. Anita with her son in my video, which was an honor for me, she is one of the famous food bloggers in America who writes about different foods and in one of the programs, she is the chef judge along with Gordon Ramsay. I would like to add that the video of this restaurant's kitchen is for the first time taken by me. We started with the peanut and scallion salad, which was delicious. We tried the jelly fish, which has two parts. In Chinese restaurants, they eat the lower part of the jelly fish, but here, the head of the jelly fish is eaten, which had a very crispy and delicious texture and was mouth-watering.
Now it was time for Peking duck, where we put a piece of duck meat inside the pancake, with onions and cucumber and it is very delicious. They also have a veal soup with tofu noodles in it, as well as the duck soup, which was very soft and delicious.
