This video is all about sketching loose - getting that easy going feel in your sketches, and feeling confident to sketch, simplify and enjoy the scenes around you!

I had a long think about what my top tips are, and here they are - my six top hints, tips and tricks for sketching and drawing loose, ideal for improving your urban sketching and more.

Sketching is the art of producing quick and expressive drawings or paintings representing the chief features of an object or scene.

Loose sketching takes this a step further - we use our sketching skills in a looser and more relaxed way. This gives sketches a spontaneous, easy going and energetic or characterful feel.

How can I sketch more loose? How to I loosen up my pen work? And do you have any tips to make my art more relaxed? Are three of the most common question I get - and so I finally got round to making a video to answer these questions!

So, here it is, my six top tips to sketch more loosely!
