Lipoproteins are compound lipids formed as combination of lipids with proteins.
The protein part of lipoprotein is known as APOLIPOPROTEIN.
It helps to transport lipids in the plasma.

Classifications of Lipoproteins
Chylomicrons
Very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL)
Intermediate density lipoproteins (IDL)
Low-density lipoproteins (LDL)
High-density lipoproteins (HDL).
Free fatty acids (FFA) are complexed with albumin. (FFAs are not generally included in the classification of lipoproteins, because they are loosely bound).
