In the post-fight press conference of the Norman Jr vs Devin Haney fight, Bill Haney explained what went so terribly wrong for Brian Norman Jr. Bill Haney ripped Norman Sr for his stubbornness, unprofessionalism, and lack of respect.

Bill added that Brian Norman Sr was too cocky and too arrogant. Haney says Norman Sr was outcoached, and he showed up to Saudi Arabia late. We arrived in Saudi Arabia on November 2nd.

We got acclimated to the time change. By the time the Normans showed up, we were already sparring at 4:00 AM. Which was the time the Norman vs Haney fight started in Saudi.

He never had any days to get acclimated to Saudi Arabia. Norman Jr was moving slow, and his dad made a bad decision. Bill also spoke on how he studied the game of boxing with some of the best minds in the sport.

The Normans learned boxing in a garage. End quote. From my understanding of what Bill Haney is saying, he's putting the blame squarely at the feet of Brian Norman Sr for his son's lack of preparation.

Brian Norman Jr is a good fighter; however, Devin Haney made him look like an amateur at times. This is what some supporters from Atlanta told me yesterday on the phone.

I still haven't gotten a chance to watch the fight again. But from what I'm hearing from people who watched the fight, they didn't like the instructions Brian Norman Jr was receiving from his corner.

The question that I have for you guys is this: Does Bill Haney have a point? Who is to blame for Brian Norman Jr's lack of preparation for Devin Haney?
