Richard Thompson's From Galway To Graceland is one of my all time favourite songs and one of the most moving songs that I have heard. I've been playing this one quite a lot and I believe I do it better now, so I decided to record it again.
I think this first came out as a live version on the 3-cd compilation Watching The Dark - The History Of Richard Thompson. I suppose it was a rarity or leftover from some album and, as far as I know, there is no studio recording. And that is so strange because this is such a good song. But, by the number of covers available on YouTube, it's obvious that it became quite popular among fans.
