Luigi's Mansion 100% World Record (New Sitting Clip Route!)

Behind the scenes there have been many new developments with the routing of this category with the big one being inbounds skews. With the labbing/brainstorming of a few different runners including Saria, Glitchphd, Minimini, and myself we managed to piece together a new trick which saves close to a full minute!

When leaving the astral hall there is a hallway with mice, and with some deceptively strict inputs on both the C-stick and Analog Stick you can skew luigi to be lying on his face from walking into a mouse with a small portion of his foot. (which has never been recorded happening on accident from mice basically ever to my knowledge). After this you can actually clip into the Sitting room adjacent to Sue Pea's Room which is normally only unlocked AFTER completing sealed room. Meaning Sealed room has officially become obsolete in the most advanced 100% route to date.

There's truly a mixed bag of reactions on this discovery, I've poured well over 50 hours solely in walking into these mice trying to get a grip on what I assume is a double 1 frame trick, and love that we have something so new and inventive to make this category exciting again. But there are some other runners who feel the difficulty of this trick in a run setting has caused them to become demotivated in there own improvement, combined with the loss of what they felt was something almost nostalgic about 100% being lost to the insane difficulty of this new route.

For anyone who would like to share their opinion in the comments I'd love to hear what you think about this and your reasons behind it if you're interested in sharing:) Currently this run is nowhere near causing the old 100% route to not be WR capable, in fact this run is about 40 seconds off from being a WR requirement. But as a community I'm sure it'll be brought up again in the not too distant future.
