To simplify the Incident Command System (ICS) is a system that brings chaos to a state of order. It’s a system of hierarchy that can be used in emergency response situations or over a period of time to obtain certain objectives for a group of people or a company. In this video I use the example of it being used in the National Guard. The most important topic involved with the incident command system is communication. Even without the ICS if you were responding to any sort of immediate or emergency Situation. The best and most successful thing to have clear, direct communication with a network of group of people.

Fun Fact: I recorded this video a few days before the Ohio train derailment. And wow oh my gosh if they would’ve just implemented this system The state of Ohio would be anywhere near the disgraceful display of incompetency that we have seen. Each state county and federal government has some sort of emergency response to fall back on and clearly Ohio just gave up immediately and acted upon fear which is the last thing that you do.
