Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Dee Zee Hardware Series truck bed tool box. The unit is constructed of a 20 gauge steel construction. It features powder coated finishing on it, so it's going to look for a long time, resist rust and corrosion. This is available in white or black. I'm showing you the black one today. This is an L-shaped design, so it's a side mount for the truck bed. Really nice, easy to use.
It really sets this toolbox apart from other models. The unit does offer the gas shocks, one located on each side, really makes lifting and closing the lid very easy. So, just a slight push here on the center. Latching design. Paddle handle, and it opens up.
Nice and easy. The unit does feature the self-centering latch, so that aligns perfect every time. It can be adjusted if needed. And it has the locking stainless steel paddle handle with the guide plate, which provides security for your belongings. Two keys are included. Also, the unit offers secure, weather-resistant storage for your gear. So, it's a once piece front, one piece back, one piece bottom, one piece sides.
It's got really nice welds on it, so that provides a maximum of strength of durability. And then it has the closed cell foam gasket that creates a really nice, tight seal. Keeps out dirt, keeps out moisture.Pretty simple installation. It does come with detailed installation instructions to help walk you through the whole process, step by step. The toolbox mounts along and sits above the side rails of your truck bed.
Hardware to get everything installed is included, and it comes with these feet. So, there's gonna be four brackets. I'm just gonna show you two of them. So, it comes with four brackets. Now, these are your stability feet. These attach to the truck bed floor and to the bottom of the box, offering support and to keep the box in place. So, basically what would happen is you would put them together like this, and then you can adjust them depending on the height that you need. Might have to drill some new holes, and then it comes with attachment hardware. But secures to the bottom of the box and the floor of your pickup bed. So, that's a nice design of the unit. Steel construction, powder coat finishing on the legs as well.Comes with all your necessary hardware, so you got a hardware pack here. And it comes with some adhesive foam tape, just nice, plush construction. This would be installed under the lip so that way it adds a little bit of cushion at the mounting area as it sits on the bed rails, and it protects the bed rails from scuffing, scratching, any type of damage. The crown style lid is extra strong. Opens front to back. Has a really nice hinge design. Full length hinge. Piano style hinge. Nice durable construction all the way around on this box. Now, when it comes to the overall dimensions, I took a measurement from edge of lid to edge of lid. That's the widest point. That's 49 and one eighth inches long. Back to front, at the lid, is 13 and one quarter inches. Just this body portion right here measured 12 and seven eighths of an inch. And then top to bottom gave us an overall height of 11 and one quarter inches tall. Now, that base, so this base portion right here, edge to edge, so not including the lid, is 48 inches long. This portion right here is eight and five eighths of an inch wide, and then this portion right here is five inches tall. So, the height of the box above the truck bed rails, from this point here to the top of the lid, is six and one quarter inches. Now again this L right here, again five inches, but this little piece right here measures four and one quarter inches.Capacity is three cubic feet. Again, easily lockable. Now, internally, took quite a few measurements internally. So, from this wall to this wall is 47 and three quarter inches long. Here at the back, from the floor to the bottom of this lid, or excuse me, to the bottom of the lip, is nine and five eighths of an inch tall. And then I did that same measurement here, I call this the shelf. So, you have this shelf right here, so from the top of that shelf to the bottom of this lip, that was four and a half inches. Front to back, so back wall to inside of this right here, is 12 and five eighths of an inch. Front to back at the bottom, so the back wall to the up and down portion of that shelf was eight and a half inches. This product is made in the USA, and it's covered with a limited lifetime warranty. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Dee Zee Hardware Series truck bed tool box. Again, it's available in black or white.
