Emma Dawson is an emerging folk-pop artist from Fredericton, New Brunswick. Inspired by the heartbroken clarity of 70s rock, the story-telling of folk, and the ethereal nature of pop music, she writes songs that are rich, lush, and ... jarring. Emma’s music showcases her lyrical depth, her intuitive gift for writing melody, and her powerhouse vocals. Emma consistently plays at open mics, and has appeared as part of Harvest Festival, Flourish Festival, and Fest Forward.

FEST FORWARD is an annual part of programming at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre aimed at moving New Brunswick musicians forward by providing useful professional development opportunities as they are embarking on their music careers. The goal of FEST FORWARD is to foster connectivity and creativity for participating musicians and to provide an experience that will accelerate their growth and development as artists. Musicians work with seasoned veterans of the music industry via practical and skill-building workshops and participate in a professional photoshoot and recording session.

FEST FORWARD 2025 was made possible through the support of the City of Fredericton, Fredericton Community Foundation, Flourish Festival, Harvest Music Festival, The Cap, Paddlefest, and Living Roots Music Festival.
