For the first time, the Tall Ship Festival presented by Nicolet National Bank will feature the Tundraland.com Fireworks on Friday night, August 5 at 9 p.m. Festival hours on Friday will shift to start and end later that day.
This year’s festival will also feature Prevea Family Day on Sunday, August 7 when children can get into the festival for just $5. The festival will also have expanded family activities this year, including The School House Kids Zone.
Perhaps one of the most popular attractions and photo opportunities this year will be the World’s Largest Rubber Duck. At 61 feet tall “Mama Duck” is taller than a six story building and weighs 11 tons, roughly the weight of 5 1/2 cars.
The 2016 festival includes nine vintage ships for on-board tours or sail excursions. There will also be a wide variety of food, entertainment and Maritime Marketplace.
Sail excursion tickets from Sturgeon Bay to Green Bay and during the festival are still available. General festival tickets go on sale today – May 6. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children 5-12 and seniors 62+. Admission for children on Sunday’s Prevea Family Day is $5.
