Описание к видео "March Of Tarzan" 1966 The Super Dupers Leon Russell "Tarzan's Dance" The Marketts Sydney Lee

In September 1966 NBC began airing the TV show Tarzan, starring Ron Ely as the jungle-raised man who lived in the jungle rather than his well-educated life in society. The theme song, "Tarzan (Tarzan's Dance)" was written by Sydney Lee and recorded by The Marketts with Dick Glasser as producer and Al Capps as the arranger. It was on Warner Brothers single 5847 just before the show began its two year run. Another version with the title "March Of Tarzan" was recorded by Leon Russell and his cronies in New York (as The Super Dupers) and put on a Cricket label children's single, as well as the rare Super Dupers album Tarzan and the Design label and the Happy Time label album The Superrecord Of Superheroes. Th album full of songs about super heroes was suggested to Leon Russell and JJ Cale by Snuff Garrett after he heard JJ Cale's single "Dick Tracy" which Leon produced. Those two albums also had "Batman And Robin" on them, a song put on a single in January 1966 credited to The Spotlights, who was a band that had brothers Duane and Gregg Allman in it. Leon Russell was a cowriter of that song and coproducer.
Sydney Lee wrote many songs, including "Begin To Love" and "My Love Forgive Me," which were sung by Robert Goulet.
