1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Remove/Reinstall Bumper Cover

Sooooooooo.... John's Fuel Filter Replacement project snowballed into a number of side projects, one of which we aren't sharing because he ended up replacing the protector plate that covers his gas tank - and he felt that simply wasn't a job he would recommend most people attempt themselves.

But for him to complete that job, he needed to remove the bumper cover - and that he feels the average backyard mechanic can do. The most common reason why you may need to remove your bumper cover: it's been damaged. Other reasons why could be you plan to install/replace a trailer hitch, or plan to change your fuel pump (and/or fuel lines). There's others, we're sure - but these are probably the most common.
