This is a work in progress build of a remote control 1/16 scale M-113 Lynx Command and Reconnaissance vehicle, a smaller Recce variant of the M-113 armored vehicle, as used by the Canadian Army up to the 1990s. The model is being scratch built and uses a custom motorization approach with drive shafts because of its small size and the fact that the sprocket axles are located at the extreme bottom front of the vehicle where no commercial gearbox can get to them. Metal sprockets, idlers and tracks are from Tank Modellbau of Germany. The new hand built tracks (without their rubber pads) are still a bit stiff but improving after a break in period of 30 minutes.
