Genesis X Concept | First Look

Genesis invited us to see a “Global Product Debut” called the Genesis X concept. While light on details here’s what we know. This is Genesis’s idea of a fully electric grand touring car.

I’d love to show you the interior, but it doesn’t exist. Though there was some vague talk about a cabin that uses recycled leather belts or something like that but nothing concrete.

As you look, the exterior reveals concept car-like details that wouldn’t make it to production if Genesis were to actually build the X Concept. Things like a lack of door handles and the use of cameras in lieu of side mirrors.

Surrounding the brake calipers are center-lock 21-inch wheels in front and 22s in the rear, shod in Michelin Pilot sport 4s tires.

All the details are great but it’s the overall proportions that move me the most. The long hood, short rear decklid, low sweeping roofline, and visual width. All I can say is “yes, Genesis. Please build this thing!
