Tacks are back, and are better than ever with the introduction of the CCM Ultra Tacks stick launched June 26, 2015.

The Ultra Tacks retains many of the features from the 2014 Tacks stick that you’ve come to love, but with the addition of one major upgrade this year: the all-new Bumper Technology. This technology reinforces the inside corners within the shaft of the stick, increasing its overall strength. The result is a lighter and more durable hockey stick that increases the protection of your investment from slashes and breakage.

Built with a fused construction, the Ultra Tacks offers better strength and stiffness in the lower hosel area, where shaft and blade meet.

The unique blade construction is designed with lightweight internal foams, which help to decrease the weight of the stick, and improve the overall feel for the puck.

The Ultra Attack Frame blade is another key feature of the Ultra Tacks providing greater accuracy, precision and consistency in your game. The extra stiff blade helps you stay square to the puck at all times providing maximum accuracy of your passes and shots. Simply put, this means more assists, more goals, and more cellies.

As we’ve all come to know with the Tacks family, the CCM Ultra Tacks stick offers the traditional
mid-kick point, preferred by those who love their slap and snap shots. Though stick selection boils down to the personal preference based on the overall feel, players who aggressively lean into the stick should benefit from the supreme power and velocity that the flex produces. Hence the performance of the Ultra Tacks gives you full control and great response on all shots.

The graphics on the stick are fairly similar to last year’s model, offering a sleek look with a black with yellow colour palette that definitely “pops” off the shelf.

In conclusion, the Tacks are back, and with the Bumper and Ultra Attack frame technology, this stick will definitely elevate your game. Chris Nomeland of Al Anderson’s Source For Sports in Saskatoon, SK was impressed by the Ultra Tacks during an on-ice demo session held for Source For Sports members across Canada. “In terms of the actual mid-kick point, I like it, and I like to take slap shots. It feels really good and nicely balanced”.

With upgraded and traditional elements combined, the Ultra Tacks stick offers a light-weight and responsive product and is a hot stick for 2015.
