Days before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flies to Florida to meet (Dec. 29) with President Trump, Nimrod Novik -- Distinguished Fellow at Israel Policy Forum (IPF) -- writing articles also on behalf of Commanders for Israel's Security -- calls on Trump to put pressure on Netanyahu. The goal: that the Trump plan for truly ending the Gaza war can move quickly to Phase 2: the entry of an International Stabilization Force.

Novik explains to Dan Raviv that Commanders for Israel's Security -- 600 retired leaders of Israel's military, intelligence, and diplomacy -- want the Palestinian Authority to be involved in the new ISF. Netanyahu says he does not, but he hasn't suggested what countries would send troops to Gaza without an invitation from Palestinian leaders.

Novik hopes Trump will "take away Israel's veto."
