I found this to be excellent practice for barre chords when i first started. It has fairly easy progressions which allow you to concentrate on building up finger strength and stamina. I know at the moment you may feel that your never going to be able to do it because your pressing as hard as you can but the reality is that although you are pressing as hard as you can, its not quite enough because you haven't built up that little bit of strength in the fingers and forearm.....Set goals , finish half verse, finish full verse finish chorus, do 2 verses etc etc. You'll be surprised how quickly your wondering what all the fuss was about.
Note: This was played on my unplugged semi hollow body guitar. I would suggest you play an unplugged electric guitar first if you can as it is a little bit easier than an acoustic. All the best......
