The Community Skips service, launched and managed by Barnet Council’s Street Scene team, helps residents dispose of large items easily and brings the community together.

This video looks to further promote the service, whilst letting residents know they can come along and make a visit to say hello, addressing loneliness, encouraging a community spirit and aims to capture the new vision for Barnet, Caring for people, our places and the planet: Our Plan for Barnet.

Filming took place in Barnet with one of our real Community Skips teams at a live service location.

John Savage (local actor) and Kashka Frycz (council employee) play the leading roles. Paul Gannon, Community Skip Liaison Officer plays himself and background characters are officers from the council’s Street Scene team.
