This is another mod by mike9k1 (https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonquest...) to add in a few new fights. Normally I'd have called it a day after the Secret Trial, but because of how seeded up all my characters were by the end of it I wanted a better challenge. Also I had never played this mod before (or any dq11 mod before this playthrough) so this was a good time to try it out... And I got ocd from the last vid being #49. If you notice the Tentacular fight missing, that's because it is. I couldn't get it to spawn, so we'll have to make do without.




So about them strats:
I wasn't worried about any of the fights being uncompletable thanks to yggdragon's blessing being busted. I could have gone for catholicon rings and probably done the same strat on all of them, but the goal became to make an interesting fight instead of an efficient one. That's why most of my strats here suck ass-

The biggest thing to mention is that kathwack can end a lot more of these fights instantly. I used insta kills against Honeymoon Boodica because Booga in that fight can't do damage to you, so killing her just wins the fight (outside of beguilment ig), the birbs and Drustan. Only used it for drustan after my Back Atcha strat didn't work, a Drustan vs. Drustan kill would have been funny, but insta killing him after 5 minutes of trying is almost as funny and the birds... yeah well I wanted to do it to at least one boss to show it off and they seemed to be the least interesting (too bad I couldn't show off 1hp forebearance blocking a bunch of dark breaths, but oh well).
How strong the enemies buffs are forces you to actually think about whether you want to use a disruptive wave instead of dirge of dundrasil, which I like. Sadly I don't get to use it too often. I didn't know what boss was resistant to what status effect or element and I never really took more than 2 attempts for any of them, so don't get ocd from me using bad weapons.
Some are the same like poor Alizarin who just got deleted, but some are different and I didn't always guess correctly.
Status effects are still really strong here (even though the high amount of enemy actions makes it less busted than it could have been) and a few fights have really low agility, so as you'd expect they are not that cheese resistant.

They do use status effects that go through yggdragon's blessing, the curses that lower max hp are especially harsh because they just kill you at 1hp and I never got too much equipment that protects against status effects (there's a bunch of times in the footage where I fumble around for an accessory, only to notice I don't have one) but I think that was a good thing, more than a frustrating one.
Overplanning would have not only made this easy, but more importantly boring and again, this wasn't supposed to be this huge challenge, a fun send-off.
That being said I had a good time with those fights, even if they're unbalanced and I was probably way overleveled/overseeded.
