Today we’re in Kata Beach, Phuket, trying a real Northern Thai classic — Khao Soi 🍜
This dish originates from Northern Thailand, not Phuket, so the big question is… can you actually get an authentic one in a busy tourist area like Kata?

This small, humble restaurant has almost perfect reviews, and on the menu today we’re trying:

Beef Khao Soi

Chicken Khao Soi

Northern Thai sausage

And a surprise dessert — burnt honey toast with coconut ice cream 🍯🥥

Khao Soi is one of my favourite Thai dishes. It’s rich, creamy, coconut-based, lightly spiced, and perfect if you’re new to Thai food — or just love Northern Thai cuisine.
Having eaten Khao Soi regularly in Chiang Mai, I wanted to see how close this one comes… and honestly, I was very pleasantly surprised.
