"Born and raised in Philadelphia, soul singer Bilal is now one of the most dynamic artists of our time. His music mixes R&B, jazz, soul, blues, gospel and hip-hop. In the late 1990s, Bilal was a member of The Soulquarians, the influential collective of which D'Angelo, Questlove, Q-Tip and Common, among others, were also members.
