Schedule your HOT WATER to save money!

Setting schedules can have advantages if you have an off peak electric tariff, solar to assist hot water production via an iBoost/EDDI or similar or if you only use hot water once a day.

You will need to start the hot water schedule at least an hour before you intend to use it so that it has ample time to heat the cylinder to the set temperature.

If you have an off-peak electric tariff you can set the heat pump to produce hot water during those times and can heat to a hotter temperature to make the most of it.

If you have solar PV panels and an iBoost/EDDI or similar fitted you can avoid heating the hot water during the day so that any export goes to the hot water immersion instead of back to the grid.
