where is the gameplay??

Duplication by Zeptoz and more is a recent level that's come out only a few months ago, and has a strong rainbow theme containing very fast gameplay. The level is one of the best, aesthetically, extremes that has come out in 2023, but how is the level as a whole?

The level contains lots of great endorsement, some creators even include Knots and Xender Game, which made this level gain lots of attention from the get-go straight away. All parts use a fast-paced rainbow upbeat theme, and yet somehow all parts stand out in it's own way. An example would be the part at 11-21, containing some of the coolest block design I have ever seen in this game. Truly phenomenal.

The gameplay is what drags this down from what I would call the best level ever. As you can likely tell from the intro of the description, The gameplay is not great, in its own way as well. All the parts manage to have this feel that it is filler gameplay to connect two parts instead of actual gameplay for itself in some way. It's like drumming, you can not play along with a song by using only fills the entire way through, and the same situation happens here. The intensity of the song is likely the reason for this, as the song suffers from this too, where all the different melodies are too short and intense, making it hard to make good gameplay out of. This level has it's own style of gameplay you can say, but it is difficult to definitively judge if it is done well or not. Because of this odd experimentation, I would try to side with doing something more familiar instead of this style of gameplay.

However, the decoration in this level is astounding. The usage of colors, the movements and the designs are all so great that it is almost making me proud to see it. The level does great design in all parts somehow every time, despite all the parts being so different from each other. A rainbow theme level that somehow does something different every 5 seconds in a full level? How. This however does mean the level is a lot to take in, so that's a consideration. I also had to play this in low detail, as my frames lagged to under 120 FPS, making it miles harder to do the choke points at 23-38. Overall, 7/10 level.
