i9 14900k Latest BIOS Microcode 0x129 - Easy undervolting, get back lost performance with Intel XTU

If you have an #intel #i914900k and have significant performance issues following the new BIOS update, check out this video where I show you how to get back the lost performance using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility

You will need to make the following changes in BIOS before you are able to run the Utility -

Load Optimised Defaults

Select the Asus OC Settings ‘not’ the Intel Profile (don’t worry the microcode fix will remain, and the VID will remain stable, this was the purpose of the BIOS update)

Then -

Disable Undervolt Protection
Disable Intel Virtulalization Technology

Reboot and then go into BIOS again.

Enable your XMP profile based on your RAM specifications.

Then run a Cinebench R23 test (close all other running applications i.e web browser, RGB software etc)

Then follow the guide.

Run stability test in Intel XTU for 5 minutes.

Close the Intel XTU application

Then run Cinebench R23
