Jeanette MacDonald was an American singer and actress known for her soprano voice and starring roles in several successful musical films during the 1930s and 1940s. She had on-screen chemistry with co-star Nelson Eddy and was a popular stage performer as well. MacDonald passed away in 1965 at the age of 61.
