DKMS Donor Patient Meeting: Graham and Jessica's story

Meet James from Graham, TX. His diagnosis happened quite quickly after he noticed his legs were hurting when he was playing soccer. The next thing his family knew, they were bringing James to the hospital. The doctor said it was cancer and James immediately began receiving treatment. He had already been in remission, but unfortunately, the cancer returned and this time James’ parents were told he would need a stem cell transplant to survive. Thankfully for James and his family, he had a perfect match who was ready and waiting 🙌🏻  Jessica registered because one of her good friends lost their sister to leukemia. James gratefully says, “When I found out I had a donor, I was very happy, and I wanted to meet my donor right away.” 🙏🏻
