Thanks to the unwavering determination of Super Sonic, a treasured friend was saved from an otherwise tragic demise. The living weapon, Emerl, lives another day—having grown beyond his programming with the support of his friends.

After his most recent battle against Dr. Eggman's newest creation, Gemerl, life has seemingly returned to normal. However, Emerl's powerful link with Sonic has begun to pull him into new ventures. In an age-old city of canals, the Gizoid is about to become wrapped up in a mission to save a young noble, grim tidings from a not-so-distant future, and the Doctor's plan to harness the devastating Flames of Disaster.
