Breakfast with Kevin Costner and the Ultimate Road Trip on the Million Dollar Highway

This is Part 5 of our 41st Anniversary to Remember: JoKe's Thrilling Motorcycle Adventure on the Million $ Highway!

We had a surprise encounter with Kevin Costner while eating breakfast in the Durango Diner. We know the the "thoughtful" people responsible for breakfast.

This part encompasses Durango to Silverton.

The Comica wireless microphones were unstable from Durango to Molas Pass when we stopped and shut everything off. After that, it seemed fine. Parts 6-8 don't seem to have the audio or camera issues. So cross your fingers.

For our 41st Wedding Anniversary, we trailered our bikes to Durango, Colorado so we can ride the great scenic roads of southwest Colorado, especially the Million Dollar Highway, U.S. Route 550, from Durango to Ridgway. Then west on Colorado 62 to Placerville, then south on Colorado 145 to Telluride and on through Rico, Dolores, and Cortez before turning east on U.S. 160 back to Durango.

This is an eight part series because we ended up riding this route two days in a row and the route is filmed in four segments each day. Some segments will be just a few minutes long, while others will be up to 30 minutes long.
