Subnautica ep. 1 - Diving Right In!

Hi all, today we're playing Subnautica!
This is my first time playing Subnautica, and somehow I have managed to go this whole time without watching anyone play this game, so I am spoiler-free, and would prefer it if I stay that way, unless I miss something very obvious!

I knew only 5 things going into this game:
1: It's a water game, so there's a lot of water...duh.
2: There's crafting! Both of the personal and base-building varieties!
3: Here Be Monsters! I know there are big spooky fishy bois down in the depths with me, and I gotta either avoid or wrassle them!
4: It's a survival game, and I gotta survive by managing my health, food, water, and oxygen!
5: There are different biomes to explore and learn how to navigate!
