Many Canadians and Americans like to visit the Dominican Republic for all kinds of reasons from short vacations to spending the entire winter here to retiring on the island full-time.

As slow travelers, Chris and I have rented an apartment in Las Terrenas on the northern side of the Dominican Republic for a month, and we've been taking short trips to other parts of the island like Santo Domingo as well.
