Handmade Book MASTERPIECE by Jack Ravi Inspired by Anne Frank

A few weeks ago, I received a surprise package in the mail. It was a handmade book by mixed media artist Jack Ravi.

Jack and I have a connection because Jack is our November instructor in Fodder School 4, an online mixed media art school that I operate.

He enclosed a note with the book that explained that he created this book for me while he was at an art retreat in France. As soon as I looked at the cover, my breath stopped. Why does this feel so real?

I was quite shocked to receive a gift like this. The amount of work that goes into creating a handmade book that is this detailed and thoughtful is just something that felt quite emotionally overwhelming in its significance. The subject of the book, Anne Frank, touched me on the deepest personal level that I could possibly be affected. I cried as I flipped through this book the first time, and every time after as I take and process what is contained in its pages.

This is kinda heavy, but after the events of yesterday in Amsterdam, it’s time I share the book that Jack Ravi made for me so that you can experience the artistry and the sensitivity of a truly special artist, Jack Ravi.
