E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial (Atari 2600)

Eddie Torrez- the Extra Testicle... err... ET: The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600 is one of my guilty pleasures, or at least it would be if I actually felt guilty about enjoying it.

Gameplay starts at mode 1- with the scientist and FBI agent in play.
5:00 I switch it to mode 3 for the Yar Easter egg. (found at 7:43 )
9:32 I start going for Indiana Jones (found at 12:05 ) interesting thing during this run is there are two phone pieces in two pits on the same screen.
13:40 I go after the HSW3 Easter Egg (found at 18:18 )
18:30 I go back to mode 1 and just goof off until I die- at about 26:26 ET gives up his/her final ghost in an interesting manner.

If you can overcome your Instruction Manual Illiteracy (aka laziness) and learn how to play, it's an OK adventure title. I personally don't mind the pits- they add an element of exploration. The real problem for me is the game is just too damn easy, as in I purposely have to try my damnedest to die. Still, I do enjoy an occasional round every now and then- which is more than I can say about Fire Fly (2600), The Sniper 2 (PS2), or Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit (PS2/Xbox).
