श्री जोतिबा चैत्र यात्रा २३ एप्रिल २०२४ कोल्हापूर | Jotiba Chaitra Yatra 23 April 2024 Kolhapur

हर वर्ष चैत्र (अप्रैल माह) की पूर्णिमा को ज्योतिबा पर्वत पर एक विशाल उत्सव होता है। इस उत्सव में महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न जिलों और प्रदेशों से लगभग छह से सात लाख तीर्थयात्री आते हैं। इस समय, भक्त अपनी संपूर्ण चेतना को पराजित करके 'चान जी भाल' के एक भजन में श्री जोतिबा के नाम का जयकार करते हैं। पालकी पर गुलाल, नारियल और बंदी सिक्के फेंकते हुए सभी 'त्यौहार के दृश्य' बहुत अनोखे होते हैं।

इस दिन प्रातः 5 से 6 बजे श्री का राजकीय महाअभिषेक तथा प्रातः 7 से 8 बजे महापूजा होती है। साथ ही सुबह 10 से 12 बजे धुपरती और पंचरती हुई। दोपहर करीब एक बजे गणमान्य लोगों ने जुलूस का सिलसिला शुरू किया। इस समय, सासन लाठियां हलगाई, पिपानी और शहनाई की धुनों पर नृत्य करती हैं। सासन काठी का अर्थ है तीस से सत्तर फीट का ईख जिसके शीर्ष पर गुच्छे और झंडे लगे होते हैं! नीचे जोतिबा का वाहन 'घोड़ा' स्थापित है। ज्योतिबा पर 106 प्रतिष्ठित सासन रीड परिभाषित हैं और वे एक दिन पहले ही पर्वत पर आ जाते हैं।

ऊँट, घोड़ा, तोप गाड़ी और भालदार, चोपदार का लवाजमा इस त्यौहार की शोभा बढ़ाता है। शाम को लगभग 5 बजे, औपचारिक पूजा समारोह के बाद, श्री ज्योतिबा की उत्सव मूर्ति पालकी में बैठती है और यमाई मंदिर की ओर जाती है। चूंकि देवी यमाई श्री ज्योतिबा की बहन हैं, इसलिए उसी दिन सूर्यास्त के बाद देवी यमाई का विवाह जमदग्नि से होता है।

यह विवाह समारोह यमाई मंदिर में आयोजित किया जाता है। इस अवसर पर श्री ज्योतिबा देवी यमाई के लिए अपनी पालकी में उपहार लेते हैं और समारोह समाप्त करने के बाद वे मंदिर लौट आते हैं। इस समय आकर्षक आतिशबाजी के साथ विभिन्न धार्मिक अनुष्ठान किये जाते हैं। चित्रा पूर्णिमा के इस त्यौहार को ख़त्म होने में एक महीना लग जाता है।
