Glider Playground in the Skies - Jesenik Wave Camp Part 1

Did you ever dream of flying your glider almost as high as you want, with hardly any airspace restrictions? Then you should visit once the Jesenik Wave Camp in the Czech Republic!

Every autumn the Aeroklub Jesenik is organising the Jesenik Wave Camp at the airport of Mikulovice (LKMI). Great wave flying conditions are waiting there when a southerly or southwesterly flow is prevailing. With the activation of dedicated airspaces for wave gliding, the pilots get a huge playground in the sky.
They are then allowed to climb up to FL235 (23.500ft), which is approximately 7000m. All this is possible without having a transponder or even being in radio contact with Air Traffic Control!

In this video i explain the possibilities when flying from Mikulovice Airport. So relax, sit back and enjoy this part 1 of my series about wave gliding in the Czech Republic and Poland! In the upcoming parts 2 and 3 i focus more on the flying there with showing great (i hope?) footages while flying.
