Engine Case Covers

Even at low speeds, motorcycles that land or slide on an engine cover can end up seriously damaged or even written off if the cases are holed -- and modern magnesium engine covers are particularly vulnerable. Oil from the damaged machine can then be left on the road or track, causing more potential problems.

R&G Engine Case Covers (ECCs) help reduce the risk of such damage in the event of a crash or drop and can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures. This 'second skin' simply bolts over the original item and does not require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets to fit.

The covers were extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the AMA and the California Superbike School in the UK and USA.

They are slimline for maximum ground clearance and despite offering maximum protection to the engine, they are also ultra-lightweight.

Depending on the machine, the offerings available include crankcase covers, starter/generator covers, oil-pump housing covers and dry and wet clutch covers.

'Kit' packages are also on R&G Engine Case Covers that offer an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually.
